The Inn at Bear Trail is recruiting Full and Part Time nursing assistants for our lovely Assisted Living community.  Must be dependable, a team player, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents. A state-tested certification is not required for this position; we will train the right person. However, previous nursing assistant experience is beneficial, plus knowledge of care techniques for those experiencing memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease is highly preferred.  Flexible schedules.  Eligible Full Time employees qualify for Health Insurance, PTO, and a Retirement Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned with or without reasonable accommodations:

The Nursing Assistant will provide assistance to residents under the instruction and supervision of a nurse.  Will help residents feel as comfortable and content as possible and also maintain their individuality and dignity.

Will maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Ohio Department of Health Laws and Regulations.

Maintains a clean, neat professional appearance following nursing assistants’ dress code.

Shows a loving, caring attitude with residents, families, and other staff members at all times.

Communicates clearly and appropriately in a soft tone showing patience and respect.

Shows sincere willingness to help residents and families in any way possible.

Receives report from previous shift nurses prior to each shift worked.

Follows nurses’ assignments and instructions and assumes responsibility for assigned residents’ care.

Assists residents with bathing, grooming, and personal needs.

Assists residents with bowel and bladder needs and with incontinence protection products.

Assists residents in dressing or undressing.

Assists residents in ambulating or transferring from bed, chair, wheelchair, or commode.

Assists residents to and from dining room during meal times.

Assists residents to planned activities in which they wish to participate.

Provides privacy for residents by always knocking prior to entering room.

Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and quiet environment throughout the facility.

Attends scheduled staff meetings and in-services and/or receives required training as state regulations outline.

Understand fire and disaster plans and reacts appropriately if an emergency arises.

Makes beds.

Knowledgeable of and implements all safety, universal precautions, and Company policies/procedures for the protection of residents, coworkers, and self.


Walking, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Ability to communicate with residents, families, and personnel.

Ability to remain calm under stress.

Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
